VIA Water Sharing Skills Seminar in Accra

From the 20th to the 24th of November 2017, VIA WATER project owners who have benefited from the fund will be converging in Accra for a one week Sharing Skills Seminar. The group which comprises of project owners from Mozambique, Rwanda, Kenya, Mali and Benin will join their Ghanaian colleagues for one week of workshops on leadership, team building, project management, communication and many other thematic areas. The VIA Water team from IHE Delft and Aqua for All and will also be present. Local organization is being handled by GNBCC. In all, there will have 36 participants and instructors.

The participants and instructors are expected to arrive on Saturday the 18th and Sunday the 19th. The main goal of the seminar is to train the participants on project leadership and to forge lasting relationships between the participants, which will enable them to keep sharing about their experiences as project leaders after the seminar.

The programme will start on Sunday evening with a welcome dinner, followed by the workshops and field visits to peer projects during the week. On Thursday evening there will be a closing Cocktail at the Dutch Ambassador’s residence; water sector players and partners will be invited to this cocktail. The cocktail will enable the project owners to mingle with the guests and pitch their ideas.
