GNBCC Receives Citation at NAAG's 35<sup>th</sup> Celebration Dinner 

On Friday the 23rd of February 2018, Netherlands Alumni Association of Ghana (NAAG) held its Anniversary Dinner and Award Ceremony at Afrikiko, to climax the 35th anniversary celebration which started last year. In attendance was the Dutch Ambassador to Ghana, His Excellence Ron Strikker and His wife. A representative from GNBCC was present, as well as several other organizations that were honoured for their contribution to the growth and continuous support to the associations. 

At the celebration, GNBCC received a Citation from NAAG, to recognize the continued support and collaboration for the past years. Barnabas Apom of GNBCC, attended the dinner and received the citation from the president of NAAG, Mr. Daniel Tibu (see picture).

The dinner and awards were the climax of the 35th Anniversary Celebrations of the Netherlands Alumni Association of Ghana (NAAG). The awards were to honour well deserving individuals - both members and non-members alike who have in diverse ways contributed to the sustainability of the association. Aside the personality awards, awards were granted to organisations and media houses that have supported alumni activities over the past 35 years.

  • Late Prof. Sakyi Awuku Amoa (founding father cum first president of NAAG) - Posthumous award) 


  • NUFFIC (Dutch organisation in charge of Netherlands Fellowship Programme) 
  • Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands 
  • Ghana Netherlands Business and Culture Council (GNBCC)
