Dutch Export Academy off to a successful start

This week, on Wednesday 4th of April, the Dutch Export Academy officially started. At the opening session at the Netherlands Embassy in Accra, the participants were welcomed by Deputy Ambassador, Ms Caecilia Wijgers. In her opening words, she remarked that the Dutch Export Academy is part of the move from Aid to Trade in the relation of the Netherlands with Ghana. Supporting entrepreneurs to start and grow their export, contributes to development of Ghanaian SMEs who form a vital part of the economy.

The Dutch Export Academy is an initiative of the Netherlands Embassy in Ghana, executed by MDF West Africa and GNBCC. 30 Ghanaian entrepreneurs participate in the 5-day training program, which focuses on the many different aspects of succesful export from Ghana to the Netherlands and the EU.

Participants will learn more about Export Planning, EU Export Processes and Documentation, Product and Packaging Design, Access to Finance, Book Keeping, Investor Readiness and more. This first edition is taking place in April 2018. A second edition will likely be organised in the second half of 2018.
