New Business Challenge 2018 open for applications!

The 5th edition of the New Business Challenge will take place during the summer of 2018! We are looking for Ghanaian students with an entrepreneurial attitude who are motivated to work on a real-life business case in an intercultural environment. Registration for the 2018 edition has now started and will be open till May 11th 2018. Selected candidates will be invited to the Kick-off event at the 24th of May 2018, in Accra.

The New Business Challenge is an annual business case competition in which 20 Dutch and 20 Ghanaian students and young professionals work together for 2 months in mixed teams on business cases for Dutch 5 companies that are active in Ghana. It is organized by GNBCC, together with our partner SuststainableMotion, and commissioned by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency and the Netherlands Embassy in Ghana. The program includes a study trip to the Netherlands and Ghana, and offers great networking and learning opportunities.

This years’ edition, 5 companies have formulated a business case regarding their activities or plans in Ghana. They need fresh and out-of-the-box insights and solutions of entrepreneurial students and young professionals to take the next steps! The companies Delphy, Friss, Jolinaiko, Van den Bosch and MDF have formulated a business case.

A well-balanced program is in place for participants to arrive at the best possible solution and to maximize their development. The teams go on two study trips full with trainings, workshops and fieldtrips. They will be coached and supported by experts and professionals. All teams present their solutions at the Residency of the Dutch Ambassador in Ghana during the studytrip. An independent jury will choose the winning business solution of the NBC 2018!

The NBC doesn’t stop after the final! There is a follow-up which is focused on taking the solutions further and on career development. Participants are part of an online community and have access to internships, job opportunities, and GNBCC's network.
