The Netherlands Embassy in Accra organized a number of activities in the past week in honour of the celebration of King’s Day.

Activities that featured in this ‘Orange Week’ celebrated Dutch and Ghanaian culture in the light of Holland and Ghana Growing Together. This included ‘Fuse It 2.0’, a festival where Ghanaian and Dutch Culture were fused in music, dance and fashion; a rap Concert at Republic Bar&Grill by Dutch-Ghanaian artiste Drumma Kid; and the Photo Exhibition Portraits Ghana, of which the results are displayed on the outside fence of the Dutch Embassy.

Yesterday, the Orange Week celebrations were crowned with the traditional reception at the Ambassador’s Residence. The reception, with traditional Dutch snacks like bitterballen, cheese and haring, was well attended by over 500 guests from Ghana and the Netherlands.
