New Business Challenge Participants to Depart for the Netherlands

Tonight, Friday 6th of July, the Ghanaian participants of the New Business Challenge 2018 depart for the Study Trip to the Netherlands. They will go for a trip of 10 days, accompanied by the  coaches and coordinator, during which they will stay in The Hague.

In the Netherlands, the Ghanaian students will met their Dutch team mates and will start working on the assignment they have received from their companies. A program full of activities and workshops in in place to get them to know each other, their companies and their business cases.

The trip will be formally opened at the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) on Monday 9th of July. The day after, the student teams will visit the participating companies. This year’s companies are Delphy / Agri Impact, Friss, Jolinaiko, Van den Bosch and MDF West Africa. After that, the students have the remaining days left to prepare a working plan with their team and start doing research. The working plan is the end-result of this trip, and will be used as the team’s guideline for the Study Trip Ghana, when most of the field work and research will be done.

The Ghana Study Trip will take place early August, and all teams present their solutions to the company representatives at the  Final Event. An independent jury will choose the winning business solution of the NBC 2018. The final takes place on August 9th, and all GNBCC members will be invited to join the cocktail and award ceremony at the Residency of the Dutch Ambassador in Accra that evening.

Last week, the Ghanaian and Dutch participants were prepared for this trip in the Preparation Workshop in both Ghana (picture above) and the Netherlands. In this workshop, they presented their teams, learned about cultural differences and were prepared for the program and practicalities of the Study Trips. As you can see, they are very much looking forward to the trip!
