WaterAid Partners with Charlotte Prive on  ‘Fashion4Change’ Campaign

WaterAid Ghana is proud to announce its new innovative campaign ‘Fashion4Change’, a partnership with Charlotte Prive, a made-in- Ghana upscale ready-to- wear fashion brand.  The Fashion house has created an exclusive collection which will help WaterAid Ghana reach more people with access to water, sanitation and hygiene. The campaign will be launched with a fashion show on the 21st September, Mhoseenu Labonne (next to Metro TV). The show will feature the exclusive ‘Fashion4Change’ collection designed by Charlotte Prive in aid of WaterAid.  Participants will hear more about the WASH crisis in Ghana, they will witness the first viewing of the exclusive collection, and critically they will be given the opportunity to be the first to purchase items, thus supporting our quest for universal access.

Over 6 million Ghanaians lack access to safe water and 18 million lack access to improved sanitation. The lack of water and sanitation have negative effects on all aspects of life, social status, economic opportunities and overall well-being. For women and girls, no access to sanitation means, less time spent in school, less time developing or pursuing livelihood activities, no dignity, no privacy and no safety- they often wait until dark to find a place to defecate. Universal access to water and sanitation will put an end to these practises and enable women and young girls to play their rightful role in the development of Ghana.
