Ghana Tax Dialogue

Ghana Tax Dialogue

Oxfam wishes to invite the corporate bodies operating in Ghana for the 1st Ghana Tax Dialogue on Wednesday 24th October.

This is high level roundtable dialogue with key actors within the Ghana tax system – corporate bodies, GRA, Ministry of Finance, professional accountancy bodies, academia, business associations etc.

The purpose is to explore ways to create a Fair, Responsible, Efficient, Modern and Transparent (FREMT) tax system through private sector actions and public policies in the country to enhance domestic resource mobilization.

As the first in the series of dialogues planned for the next two years, this dialogue is strictly by invitation with key private sector actors only and will seek to address how private actors’ actions could help promote fairness in Ghana’s tax system. In addition, we will use the session to explore key challenges faced by the private sector in relation to the current system, and suggest changes which could help promote fairness.

This roundtable discussion will be held under the Chatham House rule for strict confidentiality.  No media allowed.
