Belgian Trade Mission visits Accra

As announced to our GNBCC Members a large Belgian Trade Mission arrived last weekend in Accra for a 3 day programme. The delegation comprised of around 50 companies from different sectors such as Agric and Food Processing, Chemical Products, Mining & Construction, Consumer products (food, furniture), maintenance and many more.

The mission was organised by the Belgian Embassy of Ivory Coast (and accompanied by HE Hugues Chantry, Ambassador of Belgium in Ivory Coast) and in co-operation with the Belgian Consulate in Ghana (Mr. Dimitri Avraam, Honorary Consul of Belgium in Ghana). From the Belgian side, the organizers were Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT), CBL-ACP (Belgian and Luxemburg Chamber of Commerce for Africa, Caribbean and Pacific Countries), Wallonia.be and Invest Export Brussels.

There was a B2B event (organised by GNBCC Member Lindiwe Corporate Services - Rosaline Nutsugah) where GNBCC Members had the opportunity the meet the Belgian companies. More than 15 Members reacted and took part in the B2B events at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel.  Also, GNBCC was present with a stand to give information about GNBCC. On Wednesday, just before the delegation returned to Belgium ,  there was a de-briefing at which GNBCC”s General Manager Tjalling Wiarda held a speech explaining to the Belgian companies where GNBCC can be of assistance in future.
