GNBCC Present at 1st Lunch Meeting of LNBCC

GNBCC’s GM Tjalling Wiarda visited GNBCC’s subsidiary the Liberia Netherlands Business Cultural Council LNBCC to meet up with the new LNBCC staff in their new office at Spark. The new office is much nicer, bigger and in a better area. During the visit he met with Liberia’s National Investment Commission (NIC) to finalize on a MoU between LNBCC and the NIC. Also the  LNBCC organised it’s  1st Lunch meeting of 2019 at Paddys Bar, Mamba Point Hotel in Monrovia. This meeting was graced by LNBCC  members, newly incorporated members and potential members who had expressed interest to join LNBCC .

During the meeting, a welcome remark was made by Mr. Stanley Slagmolen, LNBCC new Business Consultant. He gave an overview of the LNBCC and its involvements in terms of entrepreneurship in the business sector within Liberia. He further introduced GNBCC’s  GM. Mr. Wiarda extended his thanks and appreciation to the LNBCC team for the work done . He gave a synopsis of the GNBCC functioning in Ghana and Liberia and business opportunities between the Dutch and Liberia entrepreneurs. He further mentioned training opportunities in Logistics and Supply Chain Management with EvoFenedex that should continue in 2019 after the initial trainings in 2018.After his short presentation, Mr Slagmolen presented certificates of Membership to new LNBCC members present.

Access Bank, one of the LNBCC Premium members presented a power point on Financing and loans. A number of questions came after the presentation. The event ended with networking amongst LNBCC members. This was a good start of the new year activities in Liberia with the new LNBCC Team of Stanley Slagmolen and Tracy Kollie.

Yesterday Mr Wiarda and the LNBCC Team visited the Fire Stone Rubber plantation, factories and offices at Harbel near Roberts airport. A very impressive and well organised part of Liberia in an area as big as the city of Chicago (in square meters) or the province of Gelderland in The Netherlands.
