The West African Rescue Association also known as WARA is the leading private medical assistance and emergency rescue service in Ghana.

WARA, a GNBCC Premium Member, was founded in 2005 with the goal of proving that a high standard emergency system can operate in a developing environment. The medical assistance team consists of a diverse group of healthcare professionals with extensive medical expertise.

The organisation offers a range of emergency and clinical services to individuals, families or corporate clients, on a membership only basis and does not offer on-call services.

Services offered include emergency services, ground and air rescue, clinical services and other medical support services. The WARA Primary health clinics in Accra, Kumasi and Takoradi are staffed with physicians trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support. All the WARA clinics provide Primary health care, emergency medical care and occupational health services. Emergency services are available 24/7 with resident Doctors in all bases and are supported by a fully equipped emergency rooms.

The ground ambulance service operates within the greater Accra Region, Kumasi and in Takoradi and is ably supported by a large fleet of ambulance vehicles and response cars. Each ambulance consists of a full range of emergency rescue equipment, and have intermediate and advanced life support capabilities and are supported 24/7 by a team of internationally trained paramedics and ambulance response drivers with defensive driving skills and first response training.
