Yesterday’s Cocktail sponsored by KLM

Yesterday evening GNBCC hosted its monthly cocktail sponsored by KLM at the GNBCC garden. In total over 80 people attended. Our Dutch Ambassador Mr. Ron Strikker spoke about the King’s Day Celebrations and the Fuse It event after which  KLM’s General Manager Mr. Dick van Nieuwenhuizen announced that this year the KLM will be 100 years young! As such, KLM is the oldest airline of the world still operating under its own name.

Subsequently, Mr. van Nieuwenhuyzen introduced the Dutch-Ghanaian Artist  Akwasi who made a special live performance. Akwasi, a Dutch artist of Ghanaian descent recently published a poetry book in the Netherlands with 132 poems (mostly in Dutch). He asked the audience to name a number so he could read that particular poem. Akwasi is foremost known in the Netherlands as a rapper and as a regular guest in the Dutch tv show “ De Wereld draait door”. After his performance, the cocktail continued until late in an enjoyable atmosphere.
