Universal Delft Officially Hands Over Cad4covid Boxes (Ghana)

On Tuesday 13th of October, 2020, GNBCC Member, Universal Delft, hosted the official handing over ceremony of Computer-Aided Detection “4” COVID-19 (CAD4COVID) at the Ga West Municipal hospital (Amasaman). H.E. Mr. Ron Strikker, Netherlands Ambassador to Ghana officially handed over the Delft CAD4COVID Software to Mr. Patrick Kuma Aboagye, Director General of the Ghana Health Service who received the equipment on behalf of the Minister for Health. This artificial intelligence solution to facilitate the triage of COVID-19 suspects in Ghana has been installed in 51 district and regional hospitals and 2 mobile screening vans in 12 regions by Universal Delft. In attendance also were health workers and dignitaries from the Ghana Health Service (GHS), Ministry of Health (MoH), Food & Drugs Authority (FDA), National Tuberculosis Control Program (NTP), Chief of Amasaman amongst others. Funding at the amount of 122.600 Euros (Grant) comes from the Dutch Good Growth Fund, which is being managed by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO).
