GNBCC is pleased to share an article from our member, Maiden Environmental Services, by Lebene Ledi. Lebene is an experienced consultant with a demonstrated history of working in the environmental services industry specifically in the agricultural and oil and gas industries.

We hope you enjoy reading this article.

“Brief History of the company

Maiden Environmental Services was established in 2013. I started the consultancy with my Kenyan colleague who helped establish it and spent a year with me doing just that. We quickly realised that we were working in a male dominated sector but that did not deter us from giving it our best. After she left, I brought onboard two Environmental Science graduates from KNUST as project officers. Our first client was Ghana Rubber Estates Limited based in Takoradi. Some of our clients have been Anchor Bunkering, Ghana Oil Palm Development Corporation, BOPP and Matrix Gas Ltd.

Our services are (and not limited) to the following:

  • Environmental audits
  • Risk assessment
  • Environmental impact assessment
  • Incident reporting and investigation (health and safety)
  • Environmental management systems (ems)
  • E-waste collection

Maiden environmental services adds value by assisting companies in meeting environmental standards set by EPA. We are local partners with Closing the Loop, a Dutch Social Enterprise that recycles scrap mobile phones from Africa.

How we can support other GNBCC Members and Clients

We can offer consultancy services in all environmental matters especially for organizations in production. We can also offer training for companies that want to go green, and also develop CRS programmes for companies interested in including it in their operations”.
