Ghana Food Movement & Jolinaiko Present Food Safari

Curious about Ghanaian Food Culture? Want to dive deep into the roots of the products, the origin of the dishes, meet the best culinary chefs, and listen to ancient stories?

The Ghana Food Movement and Jolinaiko Eco Tours are excited to be back with a brand new Hot and Spicy Food Safari 🌶🌶🌶

This edition is a deep dive into Ghanaian spices and Shito, the iconic Ghana pepper sauce!
This food safari is a one day adventure that takes us to the heart of the spice market in Nima where we touch, taste and learn about Ghana’s main spices. In Bukom, we trace the origin of Shito and take part in preparing this iconic sauce. The modern approach to Ghanaian spices come from Yaka, an innovative Ghanaian food brand, and from the recently opened Tortuga Island Restaurant in Osu. They will serve a combination of the ‘old’ and the ‘new’ in a simple but hot and spicy lunch while we listen to the experiences of a farmer producing these outright ingredients of Ghana’s food culture.
