Trade mission sustainable agriculture Ivory Coast and participation SARA

Are you active in sustainable agriculture? And are you curious about your market opportunities in Ivory Coast and West Africa? Then join our trade mission to Abidjan in Ivory Coast from September 28 to October 3, 2023. During this mission you will also participate in the SARA fair (Salon de l'Agriculture et des Resources Animales), the largest regional fair in West Africa.

Opportunities in Ivory Coast

Ivory Coast has the second fastest growing economy in Africa at 9% per year (pre-COVID-19). The agricultural and food industries are very dynamic, both in production and processing. These sectors supply the domestic market, but also other French-speaking countries in the region, making Côte d'Ivoire an important regional economic hub. The Netherlands is the first export destination for Ivory Coast, with cocoa as the most important export product. The market opportunities for sustainable and innovative solutions in horticulture, cocoa processing and poultry are diverse and will all be discussed during this mission.

SARA scholarship 2023

This biennial fair is both nationally and regionally, the most important fair in the fields of agriculture, livestock, fisheries, forestry, and agri-food. The Netherlands will be visible at the fair through a Dutch pavilion. Moreover, the Netherlands is the country of honor during the SARA fair this year, which will give extra attention and visibility to the Dutch delegation.
